A month ago I pillaged the racks of the best vintage shop in the country, The Fine Art of Design in Palm Desert, Calif., and came out victorious. I left with this funky, breezy Turkish harem getup.
“Bloomers” – a cutesy name for baggy, cuffed-at-the-ankle pants – are ultra comfy, and these ones are especially fab because they’re lavender (love this color!) and have a busy print.
And the draped dress thrown over the pants?
Beautiful… and a little odd, since I’m not used to wearing diaper-like dresses. But now I’m hooked.
I actually broke one of the straps on the dress when I was trying it on – there was a strap on each shoulder – and ended up loving the asymmetrical look it took on.
This getup might be the best ensemble I own.
Oh, Fine Art of Design, you never let me down. (I’ve been smitten with you since the first trip to your shop.)
Thank you for sharing your bizarrely chic rags with the rest of us.
