One of my best, oldest and dearest friends got hitched this past weekend in Black Mountain, a small town outside of Asheville, NC. The wedding was held on scenic Lake Eden, and it was perfect.
The happy event was woodsy and enchanting. All weekend long, wedding guests scurried through a rustic cabin compound (which also boasted a teepee!). We dodged black bears (not really) and posed for quick snapshots with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.
The perfect, happy couple threw a fun, rollicking shindig, and my cherished friend, the beautiful bride, glowed all weekend long.
Such a big, beautiful way to end summer…
This fabu trip marked the end of my travel days, at least for the duration of McG’s incubation. This last adventure was ultra exciting, but poor sleep and a girthy belly are starting to catch up with me. Now that I’m six weeks out, I’ll be forced to stay homebound, in Austin, and focus on necessary baby prep items, like stroller and carseat shopping, nursery decorating, diaper buying, etc.
It feels good to slow down, finally, and leisurely enjoy the rest of pregsville.
